In need of a rental car as a result of a claim? Only an American Family Insurance Claim Representative can authorize a rental car payment. An American Family Insurance adjuster contacts you to confirm whether your policy covers the cost of a rental car and the amount of coverage available to you.

If you choose to rent a vehicle prior to authorization by an American Family Insurance adjuster, please be aware that some facilities may charge a rate that exceeds your car rental policy coverage limit. For example, if your coverage allows $20 per day and the rental car you choose costs $40, you will be responsible for the additional $20 per day. To avoid this scenario, we ask that you work closely with your American Family Insurance adjuster.
